About this piece
I created this piece as a tribute to my beloved rabbit, who passed away. The loss stirred something in me—a need to capture that strange space between memory and absence. Using oil paint, I layered colors and forms to build an ambiguous, dreamlike composition where reality blurs into something uncertain, much like grief itself. The chaotic brushwork and muted palette reflect the sadness I wanted to convey. Nothing is quite clear or complete; instead, the rabbit emerges and dissolves within the composition, present yet elusive. This painting speaks to anyone who has loved and lost a cherished companion, exploring how we hold onto moments that slip away from us.
