I was inspired by a simple moment—watching a calico cat curl into that perfect loaf position, utterly at peace in the quiet of the night. There's something so grounding about that posture, the way she folds herself into contentment. I wanted to capture that serene stillness, so I worked with acrylics to build layers of soft moonlight across the canvas, letting the colours blend to create warmth despite the cool night setting.
