After the Rain captures the serene, diffused atmosphere of a landscape viewed through a glass window pane following a storm. Executed with wax and textile paint on a 30in x 30in satin silk canvas, the artwork plays with the contrast between fluid color bleeds and hard wax boundaries. The luminous surface of the silk enhances the natural imagery of wet glass and soft, breaking light, offering the viewer a meditative space to reflect on cycles of storm and calm.
